My son decided that instead of a birthday cake he wanted birthday cake pops, so that is what we did. This was my first attempt at cake pops. I learned a lot! I had fun making them, and my son loved them, which was the ultimate goal.
A hobby I love to do and share with others. The best part is they taste as great as they look!

Boy and Girl Baby Shower Fun
I had the opportunity to make some great baby shower cakes for my neighbors.
The first cake I did was for a double, baby girl shower. I have made the lady bug cake on chocolate, with littlre red lady bugs previously (see: archives 2011-April). This time I did a white cake with pink lady bugs. I also made about 2 dozen mini cupcakes with mini flowers.

I can't get the image below to flip, but it gives you an idea of how the mini cupcakes look.
The second cake I made was for a baby boy shower. The theme was jungle/camo. The camo was a new challenge for me, but I think overall it turned out great! I loved creating the jungle animals.
